Hey, I’m Britt.
I’m a 30-year-old Innkeeper at a Bed & Breakfast in Northern MI, and I’m real passionate about travel.
But not just the type of travel where you go, experience a few cool things, and come home never having immersed yourself in the culture you visited. If we’re together, we’re traveling through the local’s lens.
I absolutely LOVE hospitality - making people feel welcome in our space and on a retreat, harping on the personalized touches that wow guests. I’m a sucker for beautiful places, and I want to bring you into them.
I get to run the B&B with my best friend & husband, Joel. We’ve been married for 11 years, and he truly is the love of my life. I can’t believe we also get to work together. It is such a gift, and if you join us on one of our individual or couple’s retreats, you’ll get to meet him!
I love to cook, and I’m a certified nutritionist, so know that when you travel with us, you’ll be fed well. And not in an, I-threw-off-my-whole-eating-plan-while-traveling kind of way.
I’m so excited about the opportunity to travel someplace incredible with you, friend. After five years of leading retreats all over the world, I am so excited to make this more a part of my life, and to invite you into it.
I’m an open book - ask me anything! Joel and I are adoptive parents to an almost teenager who came to us through foster care when she was 7. We have a goldendoodle named Willow who brings me so much joy. I’m a lover of Jesus, was a pastor’s wife for 10 years, and I founded a nonprofit in college hosting retreats for survivors of human trafficking, summiting mountains across the country as the physical representation of the emotional & spiritual “mountains” they’d been climbing.
Life is wild, and I can’t wait to learn from you and hear your story.
So, go check out our retreats. Or, be sure to check out our course on how to lead your own retreat and add to your yearly income! Either way, I’d gush over the chance to meet you.
Here’s to new adventures!
Hey, I’m Joel. Britt’s other-half.
I won’t be on every retreat, as some of our retreats are specifically women’s retreats. But, I do help Britt lead all of our retreats for couples and individuals.
I’m a history buff at heart, and I love a good UNESCO Heritage Site. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an archaeologist.
When I’m not leading retreats, you can find me at the Park Street Inn, our historic bed & breakfast in Northern MI. Or, playing guitar at a local winery, distillery or restaurant.
I am a major foodie (I help Britt curate the food experiences all around the world for our retreats, and help her in the kitchen here at our B&B), and I appreciate good food. I think one of the coolest ways to experience a culture is through their food, so you better believe this is a focus of our trips.
I care deeply about people. As a pastor for over 10 years, loving others and showing hospitality has become the name of my game. I can’t wait to get to know you, serve you, and show you around incredibly beautiful places while eating the best food imaginable.
If you have any questions about our retreats, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make this a trip to remember, together.
Cheers!
Joel
